On Tuesday the 20th September, Bargo Public School was represented by 4 students in the Premier's Spelling Bee.
It was quite a challenge to undertake. Not only did students need to spell unfamiliar words, they had to do so in front of many other students and parents. With words being read from the list like: custom, guile, cello, pandanus and periphery (to name some of the curly ones), our students tried very hard at each stage of their competitions. I know that even some of the parents and teachers present were working hard to spell each word. (Some of them Mrs Menne had never heard of)
Our students represented our school with great pride and when they succumbed to the dreaded unknown words, they did so holding their heads up high and applauding those who managed to make it through.
Congratulations to all.
